The Coachella Festival is a music and art festival held each year in Indio, California. It is considered to be one of the largest festivals in Southern California. This gathering draws hundreds of local, regional, national, international, and even international musicians, artists, and performers each year. Each musical artist at the festival exhibits unique and new sounds and talents that are becoming known only on this one occasion. Music lovers young and old can't help but be enthralled by the incredible talent exhibited at the Festival.
What makes the Coachella Festival so unique is the variety of musical genres that are presented. There is the usual variety of blues, jazz, reggae, punk, metal, pop, and other traditional music genres. However, there also is a large portion of alternative music that is played during the Festival. Musicians performing at the Festival come from all over the world bringing with them local influences that span several musical styles. Many acts that have gained popularity at the Festival hail from Europe, but there are some local acts as well.
There are many great attractions at the Coachella Festival. First, there is Palm Springs Amphitheater where top musical acts play before thousands of screaming teens and young adults. Located just north of Palm Springs, the Coachella Amphitheater is one of the best-loved venues in the world. Every great rock band that ever came through has made at least one appearance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

Here you will find excellent food choices as well as some great entertainment. If you love dancing, the Palm Springs Amphitheater can provide this as well as stage performances by local acts and international acts alike.
